Melissa Cheong
Melissa joined the Board of Trustees of the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation in July, 2019. She is currently a Managing Partner at Blackhorn Ventures, a Denver-based venture capital firm focused on technology-driven industrial resource efficiency opportunities. At organizations such as Zoma Capital, Treehouse Investments and Imprint Capital, Melissa previously worked as an advisor to family offices and foundations, helping them to design and implement values-based investment portfolios. Prior to that she served as an investor and investment banker with organizations such as Plainfield Asset Management, Metzler Bank and Deutsche Bank. Currently, Melissa also serves as a member of the Investment Committee for Partners Group Impact Investments. She has served as a director on the boards of Shasta Renewable Resources Group, RPM Events and Techtonic Group. She also serves on the board of Agora Partnerships, a non-profit that works with entrepreneurs to build businesses focused on solving deep social and environmental challenges. Melissa holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Chicago and an MBA from Columbia Business School, with a concentration in Finance and International Development. She lives in Denver, Colorado with her husband and three boys and enjoys skiing and being outside with her family.
